yeah, that's why I said that in international tournaments defensive teams do go the distance. Although it was not all about defence for Portugal, like for instance, the 3-3 game against Hungary was the big turning point in the group stage, but yeah you are right by and large their defence was a big factor for them in scrapping results against Poland and Croatia

Exactly the same feeling.....I think Hungary might finish 3rd, honestly if Hungary crash out I will actually feel slightly bad...they actually played so well in all games

Am I wrong to think that this group stage is far more exciting than what we have had at previous major tournaments? Is it because of the formats(4 3rd placed teams going through)?

yeah the format makes it interesting...it was the same case in Euro 2016 too especially the group with Hungary and Portugal

What's wrong with Spain these days? They try to play tiki-taka but now they don't have the players for it so it just looks like boring, uninspired possession football.
