CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Can anyone please tell how many pages are allotted in each essay? I heard that the word limit is 1200-1500 which means 12 pages ideally

I think it's 1000-1200 words. In test series, they give 15 pages per essay so I am guessing they must be influenced by UPSC itself. So we can safely assume the upper limit of pages to be 15.

@sjerngal That's what happening to me since last one week. Seven days spent sleeping with sporadic padhai. Infact  I am  finding so much sukoon these days in searching the best material for each GS which I will prepare in my next attempt 😀 Friends suggest "stop doing it, just focus and work hard" I don't think it's that simple. And yes, whining come out automatically after reading such resonating posts.😀I am nto my fourth attempt, haven't finished the mains syllabus even once, negligible answer writing practice and doing a very basic mistake of just not preparing. I am standing at a single place since last four years and wishfully expecting to reach the destination!!! I know it's  not gonna happen but putting even average effort has just not happened yet! Bacha le re Deva!

Lol I’m feeling a weird mix of both. Sometimes I feel like I’m just being careless and it’s going to cost me. Other times I feel like I’m on the verge of a panic attack. Fun. :’)

The road to success is lonely. If not the whole of it, at least some stretches.

So learn to make peace with it. And if you have someone, you are just plain lucky. Thats all.

The emptiness, the breathlessness, the strangeness, the unfulfillness, fill it with studies. And books. And Current Affairs. And Answer writing.

You only have that. And they have you.

Believe you me, You have to be, you have to be – a little lonely right now. That is it. There is no other way.

So accept that, and let that not deter you.

As Rastrakavi Dinkar writes in  Rashmirathi,

Success is the end result of a relentless pursuit.

In all walks of life.

So keep walking.
