UPSC Previous Year Questions: CSP 2021

One cannot place less emphasis on the fact as to how important it is to solve questions asked by UPSC Previously. In fact, UPSC tends to repeat from its own stock, verbatim.

This thread, shall be solely dedicated for posting questions asked in CSP & CAPF.

I shall be posting questions here on a daily basis. Urge you all to answer these in all seriousness. Shoot doubts if you have any, wrt solving any question.

Remember the idea is to solve them, again. Reading questions and solutions is NOT sufficient.

Cheers!

I think C Wellesley bcoz his tenure was around 1805 where napoleon started striking his opponents in Europe.

Where as lord hastings tenure started around 1813-14 during which napoleon became powerless n died in 1815 at waterloo battle.

So Wellesley would be a close one i guess.

I think its 1999 question so upsc haven't gave any official key.

We are getting official key post 2011 or 2013 pre i guess.

@Patrick_jane I also think Imperial Preference was a commercial arrangement of preference to British goods in imports via tariffs or other means in intra-empire/British empire. Currently, in news due to Brexit deal.

A is correct. It was economic preference of "Imperials" over natives. Not related to political preference etc.
