@Aspirant123Yes. But scoring over 300 has become very difficult. Maybe due to strict normalisation. UPSC report shows success rate of civil enginerring lowest at 2.5%.

@g12345Paper 1 was lengthy. Theory portion of paper 2 was difficult. The type of questions asked in Paper 2 were different than previous year. Both papers were more similar to Engineering Services Paper than previous year Civil Services paper.

@g12345I think the ratio 0.75 - 0.85 is not constant but depends on difficulty level of paper. Papers of 2017 and 2018 were comparatively easier. 2016 paper 1 and 2013 paper 2 were difficult and few people scored very high marks ( 213 in paper 1 in 2016 and 178 in paper 2 in 2013). This years paper was on the difficult side and scaling may be more lenient.
