Gave abhyas 4 of vision ...very tough...vision IAS should get award in setting such stupid paper....almost 80% of questions were complex ..in upsc it is 20% that are very tough...they have turned the upsc pattern upside down..what they want to prove with such tough paper. God knows....waste of time and energy..
Getting around 135(min) to 140(max) according to various keys.....paper was lengthy and tricky. It can be safely concluded that upsc wants to eliminate coaching. But what I feel is that this randomness in exam, will work opposite of upsc thought process.Vagueness and randomness leads to more proliferation of coachings.
Regarding Asset Allocation question, the most appropriate answer should be A.
It was taken from this article and focus is clearly on diversification to minimize risks
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/asset-allocation-is-key-to-good-investing/articleshow/56176386.cms
thnx yaar, its answer is certainly distrubiting wealth, whole pasaage or article isa bout divserification of risk(portfolio)..
@sunnykumarroy658377 Kitna variation bhai ? 5 questions ka ya zaada?Raus has still not uploaded :/
bhai i m getting 79 around after exculding some doutbul RC...
Also for Right to Privacy wala passage, the answer can be A- 1 and 2 only. There were different answers in different coaching keys where some were marking 2 only as the answer but this article from which passage was lifted clearly talks about role of State to have institutions to ensure Right to Privacy
https://www.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/privacy-in-the-digital-age/article19446279.ece
THNX BHAI..
What can be the answer of the CSAT passage about Education and Economic Freedom?3 only I have marked.
I have also marked option c ( 3 only)... passage has talked about eduaction, not higher education.... dont why coaching keys r not able to comprehend this...passage no where is talking about higer eduaction....whats ur take ?
What can be the answer of the CSAT passage about Education and Economic Freedom?I have marked 3only ...but answer some have given d (123) and one gave 1 only. ..
how can be only 1 as option...passage is no where saying about higher education...but coaching r giving 1 only as answer....god know what they smoke...
@Tokyo Inclusive agri growth jismein option hai u mean 2 qs ka second qs wala? I have marked d - inc growth is key to reduce poverty in near future.
Bhai es par controversy hai ..c k saath
I have also marked D ....but is this also controversial ..as C bhi rajias video says c ....your take??
i have also maked D

If you look at the passage then there is this line "When people, thanks to lower tax rates are allowed to retain most of higher income that they gain from eachincremental level of education"
I think that probably talks of higher education. At least that is what I believe. I may be wrong
incremental is very subjective word... also i would like to tell bhai....option also says that " tax cut invaribly leads to higher education" .. dont u think " Invariably " here is key word in relation to higher education..
Watched few videos on youtube, actually. For comprehension there is no point in looking at any key, as upsc would have its own discretion there. I got 9 questions incorrect in aptitude and reasoning part. Hoping that maximum 6 go wrong in comprehension. So that I can ma manage 67 marks
Ur attempt?

I also watched several videos...but all of them have made silly mistakes in RC...this dampens my confidence towards them...even in water pricing RC question..they r saying that ..answer is ULBs r not efficent..
Bro u got me wrong...I queried for ur attempts in CSAT
@sunnykumarroy658377 enko yeh nahin malum ki inefficiency ke baare mein bola hi nahin gaya... Inefficient is something when u got money but u are not using appropiately... And here main source money is missing which can only be braught by useecharges
That what I thought n arguee with my friend ..if they had financial mechanism ...n then the issue of inefficiency would have arisen...
Yeh genome editing, mein transfer of genes from other plants ka pakka both hai naa... Coaching vaale A ko wrong bol rahe... Jabki yahan option mein does not diya hai... Naa ki does... Aur para has said that genome editing is just repair jo ki bas kaat ke bekar cheez fek dete hein... Naa ki koi dusri cheez implant karna for curing
Yes...in genome editing..answe is both (c)

Bhai are u sure..as per your analysis all right except 2.... But I think I m on border due to coaching institutes variability
Yes ..aac to above mentioned article...rtp should include some state institutions and state role in regulationg priavte parties..
@Tokyo Have tried it in past 2 years whenevr RC has no clear answers from coaching institutes
bhai u have this reverse searching in previous year RC question...has it worked with upsc thought process...
About "Asset allocation" passage, the answer would be D. The passage is clearly telling that no matter wherever you invest money, it is always at risk, even idle money in banks can vanish due to bankruptcy, even homes can lose value. I am also getting that que wrong.
In "Right to privacy" passage, answer would be either A or D because 2nd statement is what whole passage is about.
bhai crux and assumption behind passage was, diversifying risk....read first few lines of para..u will get the message...also the passage from where it is lifted ..is calling for risk diversification....
in rtp....according to passage and from where (hindu article) the answer is A
@Tokyo Have tried it in past 2 years whenevr RC has no clear answers from coaching institutes

Bhai errors kaunse btana ....because it give me hope
ULb finance wala..it shouild have been A(user charge) but raus has given B(efficient)
india commitment to reduce 33% emission..they have given A...which is wrong...they should have not done this mistake..
Solid WM.. they have given A....answer is clearly A
In pusha arhar...they have biggest blunder by giving most inappropraite answer i.e D

ur all 3 r correct ...UR SWM is right..chill bro..
1. Increased social sector spending (d)
2. Wetlands need to be reinforced (c)
3. Biotech b and 2nd c
4. Interlinking river (a)
5.rich cities (b)
6. Rely on homogeneous food(d)
7. India lacks institutional mechanisn (c)
8. Religious freedom (b)
IMO...EXCEPT 2 ..RICH CITIES ALL R CORRECT......it shoud have been user charge..whole passage is about finance and not even single mention of efficiency even indirectly....still coachings r giving B

Is there any controversy related to these questions ? ...for example wetland ans homogeneous food???
Bilkul nahi bhai...its settled...

Bhai IMO kya hai???
IMO= It means " in my opinion"
@Tokyo Tumhare kitne passage har key mein alag aa rahe hain?
Bhai I attempted 23 from RC ...above is the list I shared for 9 non controversial questions ....I have considered these 5 questions wrong
1. Distribute your wealth ( I marked a but some say b)
2. Private investment ( I marked b but some say A )
3. Urban local body user charge ( I marked a but many say b)
4. Pusa arhar ( I marked c -2 and 3 but some say d or a )
5. Solid waste management ( c but CL and Rau said a )
ur answer n mine answers r almost same...bhai i also have done some hardwork in last 2 days n found that ,,to find Rc answers...we cant rely on you tube videos...as someone has posted whole articel...i think in assumption/rational based question...the crux of whole artice( from where it has been picked) is heading of article...IMO... author of passage cant deviate from original author of article..if it happens then it may lead t wide discretion. This is the reason coachings key r wrong....the only way IMO is to find sourec of question in assumption based question. Actually the assumption in upsc questions r heading of article...
Verbatim from hindu ...answer is 1,3 and 4 for private investmentAlthough my answer is wrong...but this is correct way to find answer rather relying in cra answer by coachings...it hold true for other passage also..
And for people will invest in education - answer is C (3 only ) . ....just google it...u get the answer ....these coaching institutes couldn't even do that .
Yes...its c only
20. Gas based economyfirst part C... second part A (1 only)
Yaar ,how can be it A...there is no mention of any subsidy thing in passage...
I am already out so please take this view as obejctive view as i have no stakes involved .How can we guess the crux of whole article by viewing few statements from it .People who have searched all articles have done a excellent job but if upsc is assuming that people can get the assumption of passage by reading it ,which is just a few line from the article it is certainly a foolish assumption itself .upsc need to be more serious about selecting candidates for highest buersratic offices of country.
U right bro..the problem lies in framing question...the question starts with assumption...which means we have to consider ,what going in mind of author...which makes things difficult ..the more analytical approach would be to see 2019 RC answer from official answer N then reading original article..
Considering user charge as A
Genome transfer as C
Economic liberalisation 1sr part C and second D
Solid waste C
My above are which I have marked and I am scoring 70 ... Among above I can bear one wrong atmost to clear.
And in paper 1 96.2 considering (desh) 1 and 2 only as correct
Being obc, should I move for preparation Ahead
Economic liberalization can go anywhere ...rest all r correct..

Bhai jo yeh article mein hai...should now we treat it as final ..or abhi there is controversy regarding them....????
Bhai nothing is final...but IMO..its better approach than relying on coaching answers...

In economic liberalization, ur second part is okay...first question can go anywhere
After seeing answer keys of 4 institutes and extensive googling, I have finalised own key. And getting measly 86 OBC marks. Now I have to take a call to leave my 4 year old UPSC dream (3 Mains) and taking up MBA. And preparing for another Prelims is not an option as I'm severely depressed now.My entire career and life depends on a good reply. Please advise me friends, I beg you 🙏🙏
Bhai in 86...frankly speaking..u have very less chance..
It has increased my marks to 85 from current 75. I still think that 3-4 passages are a bit wrong like that Asset allocation, malnutrition etc. But I think I will keep running around in circles by checking different answer keys as in every key I am getting 70+ so I should be safe. Should start mains prep asap.I have a score of 72 -75 in CSAT from various keys and above 110 in GS paper-1..Chances of me clearing CSAT?Giving me sleepless nights..U can check revised key of shankar ..they have updated csat key...score will increase .
Same here but articles given by@Aurang_mirasudar are real source....I cross checked with 2019 paper ..by looking into articles ..and upsc takes answers from that articles....assumption is first line verbatim around the image....so if u want to check answers which upsc will give...it is written in articles provided by aurang.
In second it...
Pta nhi kya karu Kuch samajh nhi aa raha hai ...
Dil bahut dukhi hai being a history graduate I have neglected csat again
GS -100+
Csat -55
Koi hai meri category mai bhi ..
@ 24 unemployed being from humble background I again failed because of casualty in Csat ..
It was my 3 attempt bus ab jeene ko icha nhi hai
Bhai take coaching for maths and reasoning...it will benefit lot...khud se discipline nahi ata....do everyday 1 hour for few months....
Wait..i am compiling the most likely answers for Reading comprehension...went Through all articles again

Although I have many questions with ur key...but in all likelihood..ur answer key with official key will have max 1 or 2 different answers...I personally feel...all 25 answer given by w.r.t RC is 100% correct...thnx for ur hardwork ..u calmed my anxiety and nerves...
@Equalizer yes...who is stopping you from.marking D.if you feel.you are right, let it be, good for you....the only thing that matters is getting above the line..noone forced you to attempt less questions " because you cant take risk as you worked hard- logic given by some gauravbrly something"
They r demonizing the risk taking behaviour of fellow aspirants like them....the recent pattern of upsc has started from 2017..where risk is rewarded...I always attempt more than 95...knowing that in upsc above certain u cant have much accuracy...also rule of probability also favour risk taking behaviour in CSP...its old cobweb mindset of these people...who r ranting from last 3 days...in science questions there is no point in going deep...I even do not see the question in science like AI...and Mark's its D in split second....to be Frank..till did I had not read options of AI,benzene, biochar..n similar question....my self from good English college.. feels that if you go deep in science..u r bound to make mistake...my friend whose has expertise in agriculture has marked fertigation question wrong...till date I did not know anything about fertigatiin..still marked it right ..just playing with word/sentence...n it has always worked with me...I will be writing 5th mains this year with forest mains...n expecting 145 Mark's in gs in csp 2020( not boasting myself)...but i just wanted to show mirror to fault finding people ..who r demoninsh risk taking behaviour...last but not the least...there is difference between tikka and analytical approaching specially in dealing with science question...in CSP ..question r made for generalist n not for AI experts...
