I too don't limit myself by genre. There are few authors however who I prefer reading more than others but again not from a single genre.
@Patootie the last point !! I could probably tell the board how it starts, how to stop it, diverse areas in which overthinking can be done and almost confidently answer all of it.
@Neyawn it would be of great help if you could tell how much specific one should get while writing hobbies.. for instance, writing ' 'cooking' vis a vis 'cooking different types of rice/snacks' or 'Cooking Chinese cuisine'.

However, is it that mentioning a cuisine is fine but one shouldn't mention any specific type of dish that they keep experimenting with (in my case rice/snacks)?
