Aus won border gavaskar trophy 2004-5 in india. They never over-celebrated it. In fact , when we discuss aus of that era ,i doubt if that series is even mentioned.
I know Gabba was an incredible achievement but shouldn't remain our only achievement.
Australia then was winning almost everything. So it was different for them ofcourse.
But even for us, its not just Gabba anymore. India won at Lords and Oval and Centurion as well. All of this in one single year is an incredible achievement.

I would like to highlight two things.
1. This should not be surprising. Such instances have been observed several times in the past as well. For example, Williams sisters lost to a 200+ ranked man with a score of 6-0,6-1 or something similar. In physical sports, a top tier male athlete will have a significant advantage over a top tier female athlete.
2. More important is the context in which such articles are used. These examples are often used to disparage female athletes and used as a common rebuttal to their demands of fair treatment. This is frankly ridiculous as there is no reason for using their performance against men as a barometer for how female athletes are going to be treated.
Point to be noted: Fair treatment is not just about salaries and the argument should not be reduced to that only . Given the commercial nature of sports, it is understandable that salaries can't be same. Ronaldo earns more than DDG despite being in the same team. Kohli is in a higher pay bracket than Umesh Yadav and so on.

why is russia not worried about economic sanctions
I assume its Putin's ego now. He thought the entire operation can be done in 2-3 days( ie. replacing the current regime with a pro-Russian Government). He wouldn't have imagined that the entire West would come together so quickly. However the War has stretched and it doesn't look like ending soon. His reputation has already took a severe hit and he can't turn back now. Besides how much would the sanctions personally impact him?
Russians would be hit hard obviously. The Central Bank might hold for sometime but the economy will fail without a doubt. The Citizens are protesting but all that may not have any short term impact.

Prepare for CSAT properly next year, that will help you not just to clear CSAT but also understand how 7% becomes 30%Something fishy suspicious surely happens behind the closed doors of upsc. How come it happens that there are 30% girls in final list very year when only 7 % girls clears prelims. Upsc is breeding secrecy and dishonesty in the name of confidentiality.
I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theory posted above. The data mentioned also does not match with UPSC's annual reports.
