Telegram galat source hi hai. Har koi insider hai and kuch na kuch keh hi raha hai.

But seriously, I have so many grudges against these so called insiders, faltu ka mahol banate hai and then we aspirants just keep waiting and bracing ourselves for the result. I know so many people who thought results saturday ko aayegen and pura mentally prepare hoke bethe the for the results. They just make those waiting for the results more anxious and waste their precious time and fu*k their mental health.
Baaki only UPSC knows when results would be out, others are just speculating.

I guess the best insider is the noticeboard outside UPSC Bhavan. They start cleaning it before releasing results. That's when you know for sure that the result will be announced within few hours/minutes

there was a message by a so-called insider on the group. i would sit all day on the group because the info would get deleted in seconds. in that particular message, the info was about checking of gs papers and optional trends. if they cant predict dates, how can they predict optional and gs marks trends and checking leniency

Grab a plan B whenever you get one.
This year in June I got into XLRI's Delhi campus MBA program despite a 4 year gap.It was really unexpected. But at the same time I had cleared prelims for the first time and in order to prepare for mains I dropped that option :')
And today failing at mains I feel probably I should have taken it up.
I don't know if that decision was right or wrong , don't know if that was meant to be or not , don't know whether it was a stupid decision or not but somewhere the mains failure made me regret that decision. So choose wisely folks :)
In with anthropology. 5th attempt, 3rd mains, 1st interview. Finally mains clear hua.Please share how you were able to clear mains finally. Would be really helpful.
I focused heavily on value addition this year. In all the papers. My major focus was to support my points with facts, figures, data. I had this preconceived notion previously that facts etc were only required to be memorized till prelims stage. This time, just rattafied all data, examples, committees etc and used them liberally throughout the paper.

@Darvey78 plan B looks good at first .. but balancing CSE with Plan B is rather a difficult task in itself . All that glitters are not gold :))probably , after failing one might feel little comfort in having a job in hand , but while preparing curses the same … grass always look greener on the other side …Have faith in yourself !
I know but this failure has left me with zero scope for faith and confidence at the moment. Samajh nahi aa raha kya karoon. I dont have that urge only to get out of bed in the morning, feels so hollow.
Sorry for the rant but this place is the only one where I guess we can freely vent out our feelings.

Unable to get over the failure of mains. Somehow it keeps coming back to me and its hard to concentrate on what to do now. The focus always goes towards the years lost specially when there were better choices left behind. I don't know how to get over this vicious cycle of negativity and unproductivity. The moment I get on with something, the anxiety kicks in again. It feels like I dont have the energy to do anything now.
People who have been through this, can someone suggest on how to move ahead?

Been there. Failed Mains. Failed after Interview.
If we start accepting the blame of failure, it will help us focus on what's coming next. I never blamed anyone for my failures but myself. So, when I failed, I had questions in my mind. Questions like- What do I do differently for my next attempt?
When we expect too much and are not able to locate the locus of failure, we remain anxious and confused. The only way to move on is when we acknowledge the fault within us and start working towards identifying and ultimately, eliminating it.
This way of thinking has kept me sane and clear-headed.

I did think about the shortcomings in my efforts for the exam. The thing is I just have one attempt left. I am not able to decide clearly if I should go for it full time once again (27 years right now) or go for other Grade A exams or try to balance both due to the associated uncertainty. Trying to get the clarity of how and where to move ahead.
