Yeah but Santos deployed him in a wider role rathe than his preferred secondary striker or CAM where he performed all season. To me Portugal’s debacle was more tactical rather than anything else , Santos simply can’t handle this much talent. I really wish they had hired Mourinho before the Euros

In all seriousness Maguire - Shaw is the best CB_LB partnership in prem, If we get varane too and one proper CDM to unlock the French national version of Pogba...I might just pin my hopes for league title this season
You're forgetting one key ingredient - the manager. I have absolutely zero faith in Solskjaer to deliver trophies. His in-game management in crunch situations is appalling. Give this squad to a top manager like Conte or Allegri or Zidane and we'll instantly challenge for PL and CL.

This is something that I’ve been saying to my friends for a while now and totally agree with you especially after EL final but then last league season his man management did show promise so let’s give him a bit of benefit of doubt, the current system is of his making and changing manager will throw away all the progress. This season will be his make or break season especially after the backing he is getting from board
