Congratulations to all those who got through the Prelims stage (1st Chakravyuh).

I couldn't clear Prelims this time. But got to say, I'm actually relieved. Even when I was organised and tried to be systematic at each step, at last everything was messed up.

When Thomas Edison’s factory burned to the ground in 1914, destroying one-of-a-kind prototypes and causing $23 million in damage, Edison’s response was simple:

"Thank goodness all our mistakes were burned up. Now we can start fresh again."

So all of us, who didn't clear Prelims this time, let's start afresh.

I have to first change my Optional. This is not an easy decision, but have no choice. This was not working anymore. Felt like a breakup :p

समर शेष है

याचना नहीं, अब रण होगा :)

Congrats to hotbloodprince n qoqo and others.. Best wishes to raillife n Dora nd others...

Creator of thread Sidhu ka no idea (he don't want me to call him sir.. So not addressing as sir)

Now I will be starting for mains.. Took so many days to get back to studies.. Also went on vacation..then emotional dramas at home and health issues of parents..

Also hobby etc sochne parege form bharne ke liyeh..half day might go in that..

Course is vast.. People selling and buying so many test series.. 28 tests.. 20 tests etc.. Yaha toh mere 10 he pure ho jayei.. Bahut barei Baat hogi...

Making strategy done.. Only 3 things need to be ensured -

1. Feet on ground.. Pt hua hain... Mains Baaki hai

2. Accept fact ke this year time is less for mains and prelims period got extended.. So don't try to run in a hurry.. Be realistic.. Remember ke mains padhe kaafi time ho gaya.. Toh kya.. Abh kya kar sakte hai. Woh dekho..

3. Shanti rakhna mind mei.. Not start and leave something in between.. Start.. complete... And then only move..

And @ root-  sir - mere optional wala commerce ka thread kyu nahi work kar raha

@Neyawn @root @jack_Sparrow The following thread is malfunctioning, and as such you are requested to fix the issue. Much concerned because of it being my optional too haha

@Gaurav Geography till now. I've not decided yet. Confused between Sociology, Anthropology and Mechanical Engineering.
Any suggestion?

People find Mechanical a tough optional. Anthropology, though highly sought-after in present time has its own demerits, finds great dearth of capable mentors too. Sociology is comparatively better but at the same time requires a great knowledge of Current Affairs beyond what is required in GS which you need to apply in your answers. Also, the answers are open to multiple interpretations and so need to be cautiously written but still I think it will be better, would help in Essay and GS I society sub-topic too. Just my opinion.

P.s. could'nt scroll by my favorite poem without commenting. :D

+1 Fav poem.

Unable to study with concentration for a few days till now (around a week to 10 days), though started great after 4 or 5 days after prelims. I have completed some portion but haven't been close to full efficiency. Feeling like it may already be too late...already lost some precious time. How do I not make this worry me?

Almost everyone undergoes this phase during preparations but it needs to be dealt with strictness though not always. Actually remaining motivated all the time is not only tough rather next to impossible and what comes to rescue here is discipline. Discipline is doing what needs to be done in the moment even though one doesn't like doing it. One has to go beyond mind and body, मन और तन से उपर उठना होगा! Also at this stage you have nothing to save. Had it been your post before prelims, you might be suggested by some to skip Prelims (as you said it's already late) because then you had something to save: your attempt. But now since you have already passed Prelims, you have to prepare anyhow for mains be it this mains or 2021 mains. So why not take some risk, hold your nerves, control your anxiety and give your best!

Thanks for the much needed motivation. I'll try to be disciplined from now on and give my best this time.

That's the spirit. Wish you all the best.
