CSE 2022: Plan/ Strategy/ Daily Routine

This is an everything thread for all stuff 2022. You can post your daily goals, end-of-the-day updates, weekly targets or any weird thing you use to measure your progress. You can put into words & post the soul-sucking sadness that is threatening to devour you & your productivity. You can write what made your day & let others experience the happiness too, at least vicariously. This is a thread to pick each other up. This is a thread to keep each other accountable. This is a no-judgement zone.

--------

“This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to realize it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.”

— Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood

Bhai read this

invent yourself and then reinvent yourself,
don’t swim in the same slough.
invent yourself and then reinvent yourself
and
stay out of the clutches of mediocrity.

invent yourself and then reinvent yourself,
change your tone and shape so often that they can
never
categorize you.

reinvigorate yourself and
accept what is
but only on the terms that you have invented
and reinvented.

be self-taught.

and reinvent your life because you must;
it is your life and
its history
and the present
belong only to
you.

Don’t let anything to take away  your happiness and enjoyment from life as said- “The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.I shall use my time.

Such beautiful lines. I hadn't read these before despite being a total bukowski fanboy. Thanks for this, first thing I'm going to do is to go back to some of my favourite poetry haha

Hope you are doing well bhai :D

Hi

how are all comrades doing here

Hey. Good to see you back!

Feeling very directionless after prelims. I mean, how sad can your life be if you don't even know how to chill anymore :P

How did you do yesterday?

Hi.

I had luck on my side, got a few guesses right. Might get through but no one ever knows how big the variance will be with the UPSC answer key.

How did your exam go?

Good to hear that, I'm sure hojaega, cutoff will at least remain the same if not decrease as per general consensus.

Thank you. It has been a long wait for me, to be able to write mains. Hope things work out well, fishing for tips for mains prep. Would be glad if you pitch in too :)

Hard work is the key to success. Hard work beats talent.

Sankalap karo vikalp mat dekho. I did believe in such quotes till 4th june 2022. I know some of you disagree with me. But what is my fault. I left my career of CA in 2016 just to chase this dream. Three years of depression and insomnia did not deter me. I gathered my courage to fight again. From jan to may followed both SFGs with discipline. Revised things. But yesterday, one day, devastated my whole effort. I did my duty well. But what I get - 0. Now who will give me employment? I am left with just bad memories of this journey. Toppers come every year I don't know how they managed to clear this randam exam, specially prelims

bhaii u r absolutely right.....now this exam need lots of luck with hard work but the problem is here no one will recognise u until or unless u do not clear this exam...real journey start aftr not getting selected.... everyone will judge u like tht u didn't stdy well but we know this is not true.... specially these coaching wala will never u allow to work with them if u r nt selected for interview 2-3 times....my concern is about those people who could not clear even their prelims...but this is the world my dear u have to face with positive attitude... whatever come in ur life accept it and give ur best....after failing in upsc I joined a school and started to teach students and today in 12th board result one of my student got 100 out of 100 in history and so many students got above 80 even they r not so intelligent....so I consider this is as my success and I found a reason to be happy....so u hav to find new ways to enjoy ur life, upsc is not everything....keep calm and beleive in urself....

@masteroptimist I marked C too but Drishti IAS, for some reason, marks it 'A'. Out of 3 coaching keys, it's the only one that does so. -_-

I marked A as well. The passage talks only about the 'basis' or 'foundation' for rights. It doesn't say anything about how the rights can be exercised.

No need to get personal bhailog :)

BTW If those marking C can explain their line of reasoning, I'm more than happy to be corrected. I consider myself to be an amateur in passage questions.
