I am facing difficulty in completing ethics paper on time .. can u share ur approach.specially time management ?

@sernihiloFocus on writing less content. Ethics is said as an open ended essay. I faced same issues and worked on them-

  1. Write less and avoid over explaining.
  2. We feel ethics is new subject. Need elaboration to convey message correctly. We have to recognise that evaluator knows better than us.
  3. Don't think too much while writing. We try to do ethics writing beautiful amd spend time. So write basic points and move to next points.

Hope this helps. Follow your own approach if found unsuitable.

so far current affairs are concerned the booklets cover most of the things but there are few topics in syllabus for which you will have to refer online resources or vision value added material for ex- voluntary sector, cropping pattern etc . Also , try to make notes out of the 365 atleast for the GS3 ,because as exam approaches you will find 365 intolerable due to information overload?

Along with these...
Can we underline the keywords in question in the booklet itself? As it helps in a better understanding of the question.

Try to directly address the question. Can you post a sample question here? Any ethics question will do.

@rootYou are a senior forest official who has recently been posted in a forest range which has a wildlife sanctuary and pilgrimage center of local hill tribes. The sanctuary is a famous trekking site, but is open only for males as the local tribal culture doesn’t permit the entry of women to the hill site housing their deity.
Recently, the State High Court has lifted this unofficial ban on women following which there has been pressure from women's’ group to open the trekking site for all, while the local tribal group opposes the same. You fear that opening the site might lead to protest from tribals, compromising law and order situation and endanger the safety of trekkers to the site.

What are the options open to you in this scenario? Discuss along with their merits and demerits?
Which would be the most appropriate action that you would take in this situation and why?

@rootI am able to complete only 14.5 questions in my final GS 3 test . This is my 1st attempt . I am only little slow I think . Any tips though I know practice is the key

@Akkkufew cents from my side

  1. Use better pen . ( Still 18 days to go, one can adjust new pen). Focus on completion of paper than quality handwriting.
  2. Use your whole arm while writing. Don't use wrist as this was my problem. It enhances writing.
  3. Think only what could be next point to write ? Cloudy thoughts are hindrance for a flow.
  4. Divide 7/10 minutes properly for subparts.
  5. Don't take extra extra minutes to write few additional points. Move forward with what you have written. (AIR 1)

@Yo_Yo_Choti_SinghHAS SUGGESTED FEW THINGS IN A SEPARATE THREAD.

@TetsukoSame doubt here. In Vision tests some people have recommended me not to do that on booklet. And considering UPSC instruction that no unnecessary marks should be made on paper, underlining or circling important words might be a cause for penalty right ?

@Rand_Al_ThorI asked this thing specifically in forum Test comments, will post here what they say. But I think going by UPSC it is wise to underline in question paper instead of QCA booklet.
