Football- News, Rumours, Analysis, gossip and much more.....

Let's create a small community of football lovers out there. This thread intends to add value to our knowledge of the game and to hone our understanding about the game. Although football comes with banter, let us try to keep the discussion objective and civil to the maximum extent possible.

Both Messi and Ronaldo are the legends of the game. Period. So, please do not bring up this debate :)

Wait what??? Does Poch want to leave PSG?

Yeah, I follow him. But, he covers stories surrounding important players only. I'm also concerned about the signings being done by the likes of Norwich, Newcastle etc. :p

Sky Sports Transfer Centre then?

He is unhappy there. Daniel Levy has admitted his decision to sack Pochettino as 'worst mistake'. Pochettino said earlier that he would return some day. Stars are aligning!

Now that Zidane seems to be leaving Madrid, Conte is top contender for that job. Let's see what happens.

So who are we backing today? Personally I'd rather Chelsea win it. After the Europa debacle, City winning their first UCL while completing a treble of sorts is the last thing I need :'(

@dwightschrute As a Barca fan, I want Guardiola to win it. So fully rooting for ManC

Manchester City tonight.

I cannot see myself supporting Chelsea; not even in dreams!

RM supporter. Since Chelsea eliminated RM, will be slightly satisfied if they win it. "Dil chota na karchampion se hara hai tu" vibes.

Though, Guardiola also deserves a UCL in a decade, a reward for tremendous work he has done for Bayern and City.

Brentford win the Championship play-offs. So that's Brentford, Watford and Norwich back in the PL. Early predictions for relegation next season? I think Norwich and Brentford will go straight down again, and one of Newcastle/Watford.

@dwightschrute I have a hunch Brentford might surprise and have a good stint in the PL. Additionally, don’t overlook how poor Wolves were, especially in the back end of the season, now with Nuno gone they might see their pack go down. Crystal Palace are another team on the downward spiral, an ageing squad and a new manager, even Lampard chose to steer away.
Somehow now I just can’t see Newcastle go down. Despite them not being a great team they’re still able to grind out results.

So as of now before any transfer business I’d say Crystal Palace, Wolves and Norwich

@dwightschrute I’d hate to see Chelsea winning because of the sheer absurdity of it and the fact that it would have happened twice. In such bad shape when Lampard left them, strikers still not firing and if they still win it then it’ll be all on Tuchel’s genius.

It’d nice to see an Aguero farewell with a CL trophy and heavenly if they win it courtesy another stoppage time Agueerrroooooooo

I personally like Tuchel. Would've preferred him over Ole any day. He's gonna park a triple decker bus which will put even Mourinho to shame. Also that Agueroooo memory still hurts to this day. Don't want the noisy neighbors adding the only missing trophy to their cabinet.

@necromancer I agree with Crystal Palace and Norwich. However I don't see Wolves going down any time soon. They had a horribly unlucky season. They lost their best two players (Jota and Doherty) in the transfer window. Then Jimenez suffered that horror injury. That's probably why they performed so low. Maybe next season they'll bring in some reinforcements.
However I agree with you. They were bad towards the end. And Nuno is also gone. They will not perform as good as earlier. But they still have enough quality to stay up.

Had it not been for the Bundesliga tax, Chelsea would've been up 2-0 or 3-0.

Werner being the german Vinicius!

Chelsea are the champions. Thoroughly deserved. After the 1st 15 minutes, Man city were never really in the game.

Literally overran over Pep's city.
