Hey, the medium is soft pastels. It is difficult to blend oil pastels. You can still try with oil pastels too. There are some ways to blend the colours which require some effort though.

I myself was lacking the motivation to draw, good to know that I have motivated you in this way. Will wait for your drawing then! 😄

Oh never knew you could use soft pastels like that.( I always wondered how people used soft pastels.) Loved your drawing.

Started drawing, doing it slowly, will finish on my break day for sure and may be post then.

Too tired. Overstretched one target at the cost of others.

Will try to do newspaper and form fill up in the morning itself with a fresh mind.

How is sleepy classes sociology paid course? Is the content same as YouTube free videos?

Some videos were literally youtube ones, some were shot newly but same content on youtube ones, some extra content (pdf and video maybe but I did not get time to watch these).

(In my opinion, cost to benefit ratio of free youtube ones are better than paid.)

* But to each his own, this is only my personal opinion.

Anybody else faced time problem in actual prelims (specifically last year one)?

I mean I can solve mocks in 1 hour/1hr 15 minutes /sometimes 1 hr 30 minutes but in actual paper 1st round took almost my whole two hours. It was a mess.

Any suggestions on how to improve is welcome.

Treat the final exam as another mock..You will not face this issue.. And also laugh or smile in between ..It relieves the stress.. I laughed for sometime after seeing sports questions in the paper!!!

Hmm, thats a pretty nice idea. Will try out.

Thanks : )

Hi dost, I have had similar experience like yours. In every prelims, I have faced this problem of paper completion. I see majority of people making three rounds, but for me, completing is a challenge, both in mocks as well as upsc prelims.

Few suggestions I feel to speed up the process could be - more revision that can help in faster recollection. Secondly, keep looking at watch every half an hour. Keep micro targets of attempting 35 questions every 30 minutes rather than 100 in two hours. Thirdly, try avoiding leaving too many questions for the second round. When I saw 2019 paper, my set had initial 10 questions from science, then I was not aware regarding the magic of option (d), so i turned 4-5 pages and started attempting from there, this worked very well. Last, have faith and keep smiling during the paper as my other friend just mentioned. It helps. Always remember, performance during exam is as important as preparation for the exam.

Since you take less time in mocks, avoid overthinking in upsc prelims. I am sure, this time you would complete before time, good luck : )

Thanks for advice.

All the best to you too : )
