CSE 2022: Plan/ Strategy/ Daily Routine

This is an everything thread for all stuff 2022. You can post your daily goals, end-of-the-day updates, weekly targets or any weird thing you use to measure your progress. You can put into words & post the soul-sucking sadness that is threatening to devour you & your productivity. You can write what made your day & let others experience the happiness too, at least vicariously. This is a thread to pick each other up. This is a thread to keep each other accountable. This is a no-judgement zone.

--------

“This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to realize it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.”

Very few days left for SFG (and hence prelims prep) to begin. Need to put in a lot of effort over the next 20-25 days. Hopefully there are no externalities that'll affect the study sessions. Fingers crossed.

Targets:

  • Finish Real Analysis
  • NGOs, SHGs, Pressure Groups
  • Finish Health

Have been having lots of bad days recently. Really appreciate everyone who nudges me on the app. Let's keep it going. All the best people :)

Could only finish Real Analysis. Other targets repeat.

Targets:

  • Finish Modern Algebra
  • NGOs, SHGs, Pressure Groups
  • Finish Health

Finished Modern Algebra, almost finished Health.

Targets:

  • Selected parts of Complex Analysis, NA & CP
  • NGOs, SHGs & Pressure Groups
  • RPA
  • Remaining tidbits to be test ready

Still far away from the November productivity. Hopefully will pick up the momentum in the coming week.

Today has been almost like a null day but whatever I've done is done now. Going to give tests tomorrow and get back in the groove.

Targets:

  • Maths Test
  • GS Test
  • Maths Test Analysis (Try to finish)

I did a little bit of maths in the morning, gave both the tests and have been too tired since then to do anything else. Going to do a little bit of essay revision before I go sleep.

Targets:

  • Finish Maths Test Analysis
  • Finish GS Test Analysis
  • Essay Prep OR Miscellaneous math topics

Today was better than the last few days, wishing everyone luck for the week ahead!

Could only do half of GS Test analysis. Will finish it tomorrow. Rest, done.

Targets:

  • Maths Paper 2 Revision
  • Finish GS Test Analysis
  • Finish Essay Prep

@Wordsmithyy I haven't written any mains so take what I say with a pinch of salt. If you are giving your attempt in 2022 then you might not have enough time to focus on mains since everyone suggests that we need to give 4-5 months for prelims. You can always shift to Delhi post prelims, a lot of people do it to get the exam like environment :)

Had a good first half but then went back to an old hobby so messed up the second half. Did all the three targets but couldn't finish Essay content.

Targets:

  • Finish Maths Paper 2 Revision
  • Finish Essay Prep
  • GS1 Test Copies

Finished the first two targets but didn't get to the third. Disappointing day.

Targets:

  • Maths Test
  • Essay Test
  • Maths Test Analysis (Try to finish!)

Finished both the tests and was too tired to pick anything else after that. Did a little bit of this and that.

Targets:

  • Maths Test Analysis
  • GS Test Analysis
  • If time, GS2 Consolidation

Everyone's using Trimax, pilot and rorito for mains answer writing, while I am just very much comfortable in Rs 3 use and throw pen :/

What's up with this trimax/pilot thing people? Am I missing on something?

I have been a great fan of goldex delta(use and throw type pen). Lately however I started using V7 initially it was tough fixing grip and finding speed but slowly my hand got used to it.

The thing is V7 has dark impression and curves of letter are clear also there is consistency in flow throughout the paper.

Use and throw type pen vary in shade. Starts lighter grows darker then again light.

In the conclusion, content is the king types of pen hardly matters.

They say content is king, Revision is queen, and Pens are soldiers. Better the rulers, better the soldier performs.

(However V5 best hai xD, koi acha suggestion ho toh bata sakte ho :p)

V5 hamesha best raha hai but but very recently I have found my new love 'Hauser Aeromatic' and definitely better than V5, try krke dekho :D

Hello everyone :D

So good to see you all working diligently towards your goals. I am back on the work train from today.

Regarding Vipassana, I will take some time to understand the best form in which I can share my learnings. But hopefully I will do it soon.

Today's targets: [1] ready an abstract plan of action for everything [2] add tangible aspects to the abstract plan [3] Cover current affairs in the rest of the time

Good luck everyone. Wishing you diligence and awareness.

Finished earlier 2 partially. Ditched 3rd to do note-making on Electoral issues. Slow day.

Tomorrow's Targets: [1]skim the Hindu [2]finish noteamking on electoral issues then Social empowerment [3]Do prelims 2021 prelims analysis [4]Solidify the plan further

Gaining momentum from zero is fun. Battling the old distractions in a new way, gaining the taste to do focused work and setting the ball rolling with a balancing act.

Good luck with your challenges tomorrow folks :))

Most of what I did in the past few days were [1] PYQ analysis {again} {prelims+mains} [2] CA [3] Backlogs of unavoidable work & collabs.

Being honest to the self is tougher than being being honest with the world, but I had to do the exercise of objectively gauging my strengths and weaknesses and mapping them onto the demands of the exam.

"If you're not working hard, ideas don’t matter. The best idea is worthless without execution. If you're already working hard, ideas are crucial. Most effort is wasted on mediocre ideas."

Hoping that my current analysis is closer to being my real state, I will get back to working on my macro plans and finish the leftover backlogs asap from tomorrow. Tomorrows targets: [1] The Hindu{1 hr} [2] brush-up for SFG entrance {half day} [3] socio 10 answers {rest of the time}.

Transcription of someone's DP's quote on forum which stuck with me: "To achieve something you have never had, you will have to do something that you have never done." Wishing everyone perseverance for the last week of the year 🦾

It does not come with duplex feature I guess. I am using it, for double sided printing we need to keep the pages manually once when all the odd/even pages are printed.

@Huntington They are decent. They can act as the basic material and since most of the topics are in one booklet, it makes revision easier. Also, the static coverage is good.
However, at some places it looks like they have just added points for the sake of it. I have seen only GS2 and GS3 notes. Don't know about the other two papers.

Thank you for your response .I am reading GS2 where i thinks it lacks connectivity and everything is like dry and rote learning

@Huntington if you are reading things for the first time it may seem so since they have tried to compress everything and therefore haven't included the background much. In GS2 I liked their governance section (because of example) and the case study part.

Yes reading for 1st time. Weather you are making notes out of it or just underlining .

@Huntington it's already in note form. Notes can be made from it only after reading it 2-3 times when one can write only keywords and revise the entire thing.

I have L3150. Manual duplex feature is there in Epson provided drivers.
