CSE 2022: Plan/ Strategy/ Daily Routine

This is an everything thread for all stuff 2022. You can post your daily goals, end-of-the-day updates, weekly targets or any weird thing you use to measure your progress. You can put into words & post the soul-sucking sadness that is threatening to devour you & your productivity. You can write what made your day & let others experience the happiness too, at least vicariously. This is a thread to pick each other up. This is a thread to keep each other accountable. This is a no-judgement zone.

--------

“This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to realize it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.”

This week had been amazing. Step by step, have worked on several things. Also cleaned my gadgets, study table and wardrobe from unnecessary  files / apps / clothes. Good hold of self once again. Let’s carry on the momentum for next week now.

Targets for May 30 (91) - jkas prelims (14/40) - economy mrunal (2/3), economy sriram (1/2), newspaper, miscellaneous, pranayama, exercise

Good luck dostoen, lots of love : )

Targets for May 31 (92) - targets repeat.

Was unsure about posting targets for now, upsc marksheet made the evening awful. Same marks for the third time. But need to carry on somehow. One friend rightly written here before - things don’t just happen on their own, they are made to happen.

Good luck dostoen, lots of love : )

Targets for June 1 (93) - targets repeat + govt schemes (1/3)

Good luck dostoen, lots of love : )

Targets for June 2 (94) - govt schemes vision complete, pranayama, exercise

Good luck dostoen : )

is AFSPA imposed in Ladakh?
2.5k views
@dinkarsse For AFSPA to be imposed, an area needs to be declared a disturbed area first. However, neither Leh nor Kargil have been declared so ->implying that Ladakh doesn't have areas where AFSPA is enforced at present. I doubt if it was even historically.

Guys, I have a doubt regarding  why is sea/ocean colour blue?

Some sources say it is scattering of blue light, while NASA says it has to do more with absorption than scattering. Water absorbs green, red, yellow spectrum, and so blue is reflected back and that is what we see.

Absorption and scattering are two different phenomena.

What shall we follow?

@jassikamboj16303 I had read some where it reflects the colour of the sky (which is blue because of scattering). And in the end it’s reflecting blue light.. scattering happens after reflection. So scattering / reflection should be the answer. Absorption can’t be answer because the colour of an object has nothing to do with the light it absorbs (logically thinking)

@AJ_Bubbles That reflection thing is not the answer that I am sure. It certainly has something to do with absorption and scattering, though how exactly i do not know

It is due to scattering of light as explained by Rayleigh scattering.

Before CV Raman's discovery, it was believed that it was due to water reflecting the colour of the sky. Raman explained that water molecules scatter light the same way air molecules do and Rayleigh scattering applies here too.

More explanation here - https://www.myindiamyglory.com/2018/07/12/raman-effect-how-indian-scientist-cv-raman-discovered-why-sea-is-blue/
